One of Kubasta's large panascopic series of pop-up books, as with others in the series this comprises 8 pages of story with a magnificent double page pop-up at the end, which measures approximately 430x320mm by about 260 mm high. The pop-up scene is of an Indian camp. The back level comprises teepees and the front of the scene is a group of indians around a camp fire set in front of a totem pole. Within the pop-up there are three movable elements: a squaw standing up working on a loom, a group of three indian musicians and a further group of three that seem to be praising some sort of Indian deity. Red cloth backstrip. 320x220 mm. Name on top of first page. The card covers are brightly illustrated with an American Indian in full ceremonial dress. In very good condition for this type of book, the pop-up is complete with no repairs or mis-folds. The card corners are slightly bent and a small corner [1 cm.] of the surface paper has come off the pop-up fore ground.
