Nicely illustrated children's book with four colour plates and numerous other wood-cuts. Charming tale about a man that goes around the world with the Moon Man who wants to see all the different coloured children of the world. So they go to Greenland, the Steppes, the Desert, the forest and so on. In each place a version of a folk tale from that area is told. Truly wonderful little book! Map of the world forms the front end papers. Nice decorative cover showing Eskimos. 103 pages. 18.5 x 12.5 cm. Corners bumped and one corner worn, wear to backstrip. Short closed tear to edge of upper board cloth. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall.
