London Macmillan and Co. Limited 1898 Decorative Cloth Good Walter Crane 
Contains seven [including frontispiece] wood engraved plates, illustrated by Walter Crane and engraved by Swain. The plates are very fine, typically victorian in content and design. Nicely decorated cover with gilt lettering. 223 pp. Corners worn, chip to top / bottom of backstrip. Backstrip and front fore edge sunned, small stain to upper board. Front / rear hinges cracked. Browning to end papers. 16mo - over 5" - 6" tall.

Each part contains a selection of stories and verses for young Victorian children. Six pages of adverts [front and rear] for both books and victorian products. 222x178mm. 192 pp. Beige cloth boards with illustration and red lettering to upper board. Endpapers comprised from adverts. Corners and top/tail bumped. Beige cloth is grubby. Owner's inscription from 1896 on title page. Rear hinge broken.
