11-15 Auflage; 53-72 Tausand. Lovely children's board book fully illustrated in colour by Else Wenz-Viėtor on every page together with traditional nursery rhymes in German. Wenz-Viėtor is one of the most prolific and popular illustrator of German children's books. Her little characters are always adorable and it is self evident why she was / is so popular. 14x18.5 cm. Unpaginated - 14 pp. Paper covered illustrated boards with blue backstrip. The binding has been re-set with a replacement backstrip. Some grubbiness to lower board. The paper over the hinges of the first two and last two boards is split where the binding has been re-set. Nice clean illustrations inside.

n.d., c. 1930s. 10 pages, all beautifully illustrated in colour. This is a german children's book of flower people with pixies and fairies. Else Wenz-Viėtor is a very accomplished and popular illustrator of children's books. Corners and edges worn with some fraying to top / bottom of backstrip. Stringing a bit loose and there is a slight grubbiness to some page edges. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Wenz-Vietor, Else Nürnberger Puppenstubenspielbuch Doll's House Play Book
Oldenburg Stalling 1921 Second edition Hardcover Good Else Wenz-Vietor
This book presents a series of 7 double page chromolithograph scenes from a typical German house from the 1920's that can be populated with cut out figures and decorations fitted into slits. The concept is based upon 'The Paignion' from F. C. Westley. There is a seperate, facsimile replacement, story book, in German. The scenes incorporate opening room and cupboard doors and include a hallway, a sitting room, bedrooms, kitchen and garden. This early edition contains a toilet, which is missing from later editions. There are 26 cut outs, inculding people, dolls and general household items. The cut outs are facsimile replacements. 29x34 cm. [oblong]. Corners and edges rubbed / worn. Two small areas of repair to scenes with facsimile replacement. Some wear around slit edges.

English reprint of the German 'Die Weihnachtsengelein', originally published in the 1930's and beautifully illustrated by the German Else Wenz-Viėtor. This is a shape book about 10 angels making preparations for Christmas.With the turn of each page the story tells you what each angel is doing and a cut out of the angel's head is at the top of the page. By the last page there are 10 angels along the top of the page and the last angel lights the candles on the Christmas tree. There is a cut out from the back cover of the book and you can see all the angels through this. Unpaginated - 20 pp. 21x27 cm - oblong. Illustrated paper covered boards over a dark blue cloth backstrip with white lettering.
