1 Hulme Beaman, Betty and S. G. The Disgraceful Business at Mrs. Goose's Larry the Lamb in Toytown - Book 3
London Oldbourne 1958 First edition Hardcover Very Good + very good Jacket not attributed
This is the third in the towntown series books that were attributed to father and daughter team S.G.Beaman and Betty Beaman. However as S.G. died in 1932 I suspect that this is more his daughter's work. Featuring Larry the Lamb, a children's character that had been much broadcast on the BBC, first radio and later television, since the late 1920's it is a typical children's tale from this time. Fully illustrated in colour on every page with the cartoon like characters that translated into quite crude puppets. 12mo/ 19.5x14.5 cm. Slight rubbing to corners and top/tail of backstrip. Previous owners name. Dust jacket price clipped with a few nicks to the corners. Overall in nice bright, clean condition - very good.
Price: 20.00 GBP
