London George G. Harrap & Company Limited 1947 Second Impression Hardcover Very Good Very Good Jacket Susan B. Pearse 
28 full page colour illustrations, colour frontispiece and colour illustrated fly leafs, all by Susan B. Pearse in her wonderful Ameliaranne style. Opposite each colour illustration is presented the story text which is also illustrated with black and white Pearse pictures. The Ameliaranne series were always illustrated by Pearse, but they were written by a variety of authors, this one being by Margaret Gilmour. Condition: Dust Jacket: Two small tears repaired with archival tape and corners rubbed, otherwise very good. Binding: Slight warp to front cover and small 5 mm chip to bottom corner for free front fly leaf, personal dedication on free front fly leaf, otherwise very good. Interior: Very Good. Note: I have several other Ameliaranne books, please have a look at my catalogue of them. 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall.
