Containing 8 colour plates by Harry Rountree, this is a nicely presented edition of this entertaining story that was first published in the 1880's. 17x13 cm. 155 pp. plus a couple of book advert pages for Nelson's Fireside Library and Nelson Poetry books. Blue cloth covered boards with colour pastedown to upper board and gilt titling to front and backstrip. Corners and top / tail bumped; backstrip sunned and some grubby marks to the boards. Edge of text block dusty when closed. Prize plate to front pastedown [from 1913]. A couple of marks inside but nothing significant.
